Joshua Leuenberger

Joshua is Tech Lead in Platform Engineering and is responsible for the further development of a company-wide Kubernetes platform. In his role, he shapes both the technical architecture and strategic decisions around the operation and further development of the platform.

His professional background is in data centre operations, where he has gained in-depth experience in virtualisation with Nutanix, data architectures and observability with the ELK stack. In the course of data centre modernisation, he has worked intensively with cloud-native technologies and automation.

Today, his focus is on building and operating an on-premise Kubernetes platform. He also supports internal teams in integrating their own services into the platform via Crossplane and accompanies them from conception to productive implementation.

He has extensive knowledge of the Kubernetes API, writing operators with Go and in the areas of Crossplane, ArgoCD, Capsule and Kubernetes security. His technical focus is on the system architecture of distributed platforms and the secure and automated operation of complex Kubernetes setups.

As a trainer, he imparts practical knowledge about Kubernetes and Crossplane, drawing on his many years of experience in data centre operations and platform engineering.
