Content:

This course enables participants to independently design complex infrastructures for video applications. Contents of the course are:

- Use of video codecs and their implementation
- Introduction to video and audio streaming technologies.
- Basics of streaming protocols (e.g. RTMP, HLS, DASH) and Adaptive bitrate streaming
- Integration of cloud-based streaming services
- Security issues related to video/livestreaming
- Current trends and developments in streaming technology
- Manipulation of video and streams with ffmpeg
- Introduction to computer vision with OpenCV for object recognition and image processing

Disclaimer: The actual course content may vary from the above, depending on the trainer, implementation, duration and constellation of participants.

Whether we call it training, course, workshop or seminar, we want to pick up participants at their point and equip them with the necessary practical knowledge so that they can apply the technology directly after the training and deepen it independently.

Goal:

The goal of the workshop is to provide software developers with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the video/livestreaming space and develop their own end-to-end solutions.

Requirements:

Basic understanding of web development, use of the command line on Linux/Unix systems
