Joe Eifert

Joe Eifert is an IT Digital Banking Consultant at Oepfelbaum IT Management AG in Zurich, where he’s currently building a new market data API for the private bank LGT. The trained software engineer combines entrepreneurial experience with technical depth in finance and web development.

Before joining Oepfelbaum, Joe was CTO and founder of databaum, an agri-tech startup for data-driven disease management in agriculture, as well as founder of Octotreat GmbH and CIO at DataBerg. As a Ruby engineer at GARAIO AG, he cut the build time of a property management platform from over two hours to seven minutes and automated its deployment. His technical foundation spans full-stack web development, Ruby and Python, and Scrum and agile ways of working; he holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Project Management (Wirtschaftsinformatik) from the University of Fribourg.

Joe has been teaching as an instructor at ICT-Berufsbildung Zentralschweiz since 2017, covering topics from web development to machine learning to mobile app development, and is a SVEB-certified trainer (AdA FA-M1). At Letsboot, he brings this long-standing teaching experience together with his hands-on background as a developer and founder.
