Benjamin Koltermann

Benjamin Koltermann is the CEO and Security Architect at KolTEQ, where he helps organizations in regulated industries securely design, deploy, and operate their cloud and Kubernetes environments. His work focuses on Kubernetes security, cloud security, and secure automation. He brings extensive hands-on experience in hardening, threat modeling, and securing complex container infrastructures.

Outside of KolTEQ, Benjamin is deeply involved in the security community. He co-organizes the DEF CON Cloud Village for Kubernetes Security and is part of the FluxFingers CTF team from Ruhr University Bochum. His passion lies in practical cloud-native security, zero-trust architectures, and secure secret management with Vault and OpenBao.

Benjamin is a regular speaker at international conferences such as KubeCon, ContainerDays, Swiss Cloud Native Day, KCD Zurich, and Øredev Malmö. At Letsboot, he teaches practical courses on Kubernetes Security, Cloud Security, and Secret Management with Vault and OpenBao.
